On the sidelines of the duty, three freelancers (PHL) under City Water Management Dept at Flashing Ancol Sluice Gate, Pademangan took the initiative to take care of the environment at their workplace.

One of them is by transforming an empty land in the sluice gate post into a park. They also plant various plants such as starfruit, guava and mango to beautify two parks measuring 24 square meters.

"If we relax, we maintain the soil while planting toga, thus it is not only clean and fresh but has function," expressed Asep (40), an operator of Flashing Ancol Sluice Gate.

Meanwhile, the fence surrounding the sluice gate post also looks like freshly painted. No exception kanstine's park barrier.

Flashing Ancil Sluice Gate Operator, Dede Armin disclosed, the post was initially unmaintained. Hence, they decided to beautify the post.

"Previously, the fence was many fences are porous. So it looks beautiful than before. We also make a toilet, but not for the public," he told.

He added that the maintenance cost is taken from the joint fellow of freelancer, including himself.

"We collect money from friend to friend here. Buy material and maintain the place together. So we are not just guarding but also do maintenance," he finished.
